Autumn is here!

Autumn is here again, and throughout the Summer the students at the new Care Himalayan Region School have been settling in and getting used to their new home mothers and teachers. You can see that they have planted a field full of rice which they are very excited to harvest in the next few weeks, as well as apples in the playground. There is still a tonne of work to be done to make the school a more fun and exciting place to be and to ensure the wellbeing of the children in their learning environment. FtL volunteers will be visiting from the end of November to work in the school and help raise funds for new play equipment. If you want to donate towards their new slide, climbing frame and swings please do so using the links on the website. All those pennies will make a BIG difference some little people!

SPACE too have been working hard in all 5 government schools where the Theatre for Development work has continued apace. Their work is voluntary and they work many hours supporting young people in their primary education, helping with emotional needs as well with extra tuition, improved teacher, parent and employer communications and equipment requirements. World renowned singer and songwriter Kunti Moktan who was also an inspirational facilitator leading music workshops with all the groups. SPACE have worked with her on this project and we are all hoping to secure her support as participant advocate during their next Theatre Week scheduled for the end of this month!
